Environmental Policies

1. Basic Policy

Based on our corporate philosophy of "Contributing to and Striving to be Respected by the Citizens of the World", we contribute to a citizen-based sustainable society in which people can enjoy life with a sense of security and fulfillment. Citizen offers products that are always close at hand and are good for people and the world.

2. Environmental Principles

1. We shall endeavor to make effective use of resources, to protect the environment and to provide environmentally friendly products and services, in all phases of our business activities, including R&D, designing, procurement, manufacturing, and marketing of watches, electronic devices, electronic products and industrial machinery.
2. We shall strictly observe all environmental ordinances and agreements, and shall carry out proactive efforts to further reduce our environmental footprint and to prevent pollution.
3. We shall contribute to prevention of global warming by implementing energy measures and by achieving energy-saving product features.
4. We shall implement stricter control of chemicals contained in our products in cooperation with suppliers and customers.
5. We shall have a positive effect on the environment and the economy and promote sustainable business growth by pursuing resources-saving and waste-free operations.
6. We shall establish environmental objectives and targets, and review and adjust them as appropriate, so as to maintain continual improvement.
7. We shall distribute copies of this environmental policy so that all of our employees, and others who work with us, are aware of our commitment.
