
The Citizen Volunteer Club was established within Citizen Holdings Co. Ltd. in October 2008.
Involvement and communication with the community is a pride and responsibility that comes with the name “citizen,” and we regard it as an invaluable asset. We will continue to actively propose and support activities that give each employee the chance to think about what they can do to contribute to society.

A charity walk event for eradicating hunger, entitled “End Hunger: Walk the World” took place under the auspices of the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Japan Association for the World Food Programme on June 6, 2010. Twenty eight members of the Citizen Volunteer Club took part in the event.

Officers and 200 employees in the Tokyo Works gathered during a lunch break to stand up against poverty in a worldwide coordinated action campaign.

The Citizen Volunteer Club donated a total of 69 wristwatch to NPO Bridge for Smile. These were both used and unused wristwatches collected from employees and given maintenance by the Citizen Customer Service prior to the donation.

In December 2010, employees from 34 Citizen Group companies participated in an activity to collected toothbrushes in Japan and donate them Philippines Medical Care Support Association, a group that provides free medical care to poverty-stricken villages in the Philippines. 3,075 toothbrushes, which are prohibitively expensive locally in the Philippines, were collected and donated as part of the activity.
